In conjunction with the 12 Days of Holiday Sales, I'm offering my own Big Shot special!!! From now through Dec 22, you can save $25 on your TOTAL ORDER when you purchase the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439) PLUS any TWO items from the 12 Days of Holiday Sales!! To take advantage of my Big Shot special, you MUST place your order directly with me (NOT my online store), because this is being offered only by me and not Stampin' Up! Remember, if you need these items for Christmas, you must get your order to me NLT Tuesday, December 15 - 5:00 PM CST and pay with a credit card - so I can get the order placed. Christmas Card using Frost White Shimmer Paint

Just wanted to do a quick post of another Christmas Card. It uses Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Folder - Petals a Plenty and your Stampin' Up! Sizzix machine. I then used a Stampin Sponge and our new Frost White Shimmer Paint and just went over the embossed image with the shimmer paint. You can see it in the picture.

The cardstock used is Whisper White (embossed), Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy, & Shimmery White. The stamp set is Serene Snowflakes from the Holiday 2009 Mini Catalog.

You can purchase the Serene Snowflakes stamp set (115438, $20.95), and Frost White Shimmer Paint (116854, $5.95) from the Holiday 2009 Mini Catalog until January 4, 2010. I'm hoping the Shimmer Paint will continue to be available in future catalogs.

TIP: You can use a small spray bottle (approx 2 oz). Put a couple drops of the shimmer paint in and fill half way (1 oz) with plain rubbing alcohol. Shake well, befure spraying on your projects. You will get a wonderful shimmer to your project, and because it uses alcohol, it will dry quickly. Want more noticable shimmer, then add another drop or two of shimmer paint. Customize the way you want. It is much more economical to make your own "shimmer mist" than buying the water based spray mists available elsewhere. Remember there is also Champaign Mist (golden tone) and Platinum (silvery) available. Use alone, or combine. The possibilities are endless. Remember to label your bottles.

You can order these or any items from current catalogs, on-line 24/7, from my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website - just click SHOP NOW in the upper right hand corner, and select me to be your demonstrator. If you prefer, you can contact me to place your order.

Christmas Card #1

Isn't this just pretty. Non-Standard Christmas colors, but I sure like it. I found this on Splitcoast Stampers (thanks Jodie), and jazzed it up (just a little). My stamping girls LOVE glitter, and I thought something needed to be added behind the ornament, so I glittered.

This is one of the cards we will be making at our Christmas Stamp a Stack on Saturday, November 14th. I have one more card to make. Another demonstrator is joining me, and she is designing two more cards. Everyone will make 20 cards w/env (5 each of 4 designs).

Chinese Lantern

Here is a card I made using Embrace Life (stems) and Eastern Blooms (flowers). The paper technique is called Chinese Lantern - doesn't the stamped panel look like a section from a Chinese Lantern?

After stamping and coloring the image, you run it through the paper crimper. Then using light pressure run your stamp pad across the ridges. It's that simple! Remember your paper will be about 1/4 to 1/2 inches shorter that it was when you cut it. So make that allowance when cutting.

Hope you enjoyed this card. Leave a comment.

Floral Vase (Asian Artistry)

Here is a card using the new Asian Artistry (Hostess Level 2) Stamp Set. The card stock is from the new In Color - Rich Razzleberry & Melon Mambo. I embossed the image in gold and then colored the main image.

I cased this card from Sandimac on Splitcoast Stampers. To me, this card is simple but elegant. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Thanks for stoppin' by.>

Flower Pot Card

Isn't this a clever card. I cased this from many cards I saw on Splitcoast Stampers . The flowers were created using the Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzlets Dies.

This shows the "inside of the pot". Look at the sentiment - I just now read it - how appropriate is the "grow" for this card. lol

Enjoy.

Animal Stories

Here is a cute card made using the new stamp set "Animal Stories" that you can purchase starting July 1, 2009. It is using Tall Tales Designer Series Paper that will be available also starting July 1st. This bow is tied also using the "Finger Knot" that I mentioned in my last posting.

Isn't this a great stamp set for making childrens cards or scrapbook pages? Just think about using it on a page with pictures from when you went to the zoo.

Hope you think it is as cute as I do.

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Kind & Caring Thoughts

This is a new Level 3 Hostess Set (Kind & Caring Thoughts) that you can earn by holding a workshop with net sales totaling $500 or more. You may think that is impossible to do, but if you have 6-8 guests plus you - and if each person spends between $55 to $72, that's not hard to do. Some will spend more, and some less.

Once you get your copy of the new catalog, just sit down, go thru it a couple times, and make out a "wish list". Let your friends look at it and make their lists too. Then, by the time you have your workshop, and everyone buys a stamp set or two, some of the new In Color paper and coordinating products, a package of new yummy Designer Series Paper - before you know it you've made your sales.

This card is using Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, & Crushed Curry cardstock; Kind & Caring Thoughts Level 3 Hostess Stamp Set; Melon Mambo Polka Dot 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon; and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper.

The ribbon is tied using a new technique I learned that I'm calling the "Finger Knot". I found this technique on YouTube. If you want to watch it to go stampinheather.

Thanks for looking.

Father's Day - Just for You

In keeping with the masculine these, here is an extremely simple card with very little stamping. It mostly uses card stock for decoration. This card stock is the Parisian Breeze Specialty (textured) Cardstock. The colors are wonderful for masculine cards, yet there are some florals in this assortment, that would make a beautiful feminine card too.

This card is the one I have in mind for the Father's Day card we will be making at card class next week.

Don't forget, that this month when you buy three packs of Designer Series paper (including our Specialty Designer Series paper) or 12" x 12" textured card stock, you get one pack FREE! (Online Catalog: DSP pgs 153-155; TCS pgs 158-161).

Remember, you can place your order through me with a phone call or email, or you can order on-line 24/7 from my website by clicking SHOP NOW in the upper right hand corner from any page. Combine orders with friends and family to reach $150 order subtotal so you can qualify for Hostess Gifts and FREE merchandise.

Lovely as a Tree

Keeping with the masculine theme, here is another card that would be appropriate to give to a man. I used sponge daubers to color the tree and grass. They give it a soft look. Again, this is a simple card to make, but doesn't look like you just "threw it together".

This card will also be made at class next week.

Monday, May 18, 2009

Birthday Cheers

This month we are making masculine cards, appropriate to give to a man. Also, getting a head start for Father's Day next month.

Here's a quick card I made using the Cheers to You stamp set. It was simple to do and didn't take a lot of time. You can't see it, but I used Crystal Effects on the Beer Mug.

This is one of the cards we will be making at card class next week.

Thanks for looking.
